Lilia Al-Atrash is a Syrian writer and journalist. She was born in Damascus in March 1973, and she completed her studies in French literature at the University of Damascus in 1996.
Lilia has worked as a journalist for various Syrian and Arab newspapers, including The Syrian Times, Al-Hayat, and The Arab Weekly. She has also published several books, including collections of poetry and a novel.
Her work often focuses on social and cultural issues in Syria and the Arab world. She has also written about the experience of being a woman in the Arab world and the challenges of living in a conflict zone.
Lilia has been recognized for her work with awards, including the Ibn Rushed Award for Journalism in 2016 and the Arab Women Writers Award in 2019.
Today, Lilia lives in Paris, where she continues to write and publish her work.
